Joystiq Puts Together Xbox 360s Content Delivery Plans
news | 10/14/05 | Shawn Rider
In a great analysis of Microsoft\'s latest announcements about Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360, Joystiq\'s Vladimir Cole details how Xbox Live Arcade is a growing threat to the traditional retail chain. And that\'s not necessarily a bad thing for game publishers: \"Sure, the games on offer right now are non-threatening casual games, but it's only a matter of time until gamers are downloading entire triple-A titles and not just demos of them. With more and more retailers moving towards the sale of used games, first- and third-party publishers are going to push the direct-to-consumer channel even harder.\" Check out the full story on Joystiq here.

Kameo Screens From X05
game: Kameo: Elements of Power
news | 10/05/05 | Shawn Rider

Historically, such business shenanigans are not good for a game. We\'ll find out this Fall when we finally get our hands on Kameo: Elements of Power. In the meantime, here are some new screens.

Developers, Hug a Modder
Articles Archive | 07/08/05 | Aaron Stanton

Aaron takes a moment to call on the next generation of gaming to go a step beyond that, and figure out how to integrate player created content into the console world, starting with Ghost Recon 3.

MechAssault was one of the standout titles on Xbox Live when it first launched. It paved the way for reliable online multiplayer and loads of content downloads. MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf amps up the multiplayer game and beefs up the single player story mode to boot. It's a great thing.

SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom
game: SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom
review | 11/16/04 | Matt James
SNK brings us some 2D online goodness with SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos. Even still, the redundancy of the title, sluggish controls and even more sluggish online play are opponents this little fighter just can't KO. It ain't great; it ain't bad. It's thoroughly mediocre. Check the review for Matt's complete writeup.
